Prof. Dr. Essam Farahat, Minia University President, stated that the faculty of Medicine has got fourth place among the 27th participant faculties of Medicine in the National Examination for the Practice of Medicine for graduates of 2022/2023, November round 2023. The exam was conducted and organized by the Egyptian Health Council.

The Egyptian Medical License Exam (EMLE) was created to ensure that Egypt’s medical school graduates are actually qualified to start practicing medicine and to ensure that they have obtained adequate training before obtaining a license to practice medicine in Egypt.

Prof. Dr. Hossam Shawky, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, pointed out that the National Examination for the Practice of Medicine (EMLE) was issued per the law of the Egyptian Health Council with the aim of developing the training for all medical graduates and staff in various health sectors, including Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, and Physiotherapy.
