Seminar on Occupational Safety and Health at Faculty of Medicine

In commemoration of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the Faculty of Medicine hosted an educational seminar titled "Strategies and Objectives of Occupational Safety and Health in Safeguarding Individuals within Educational Institutions."

The prestigious event was held under the esteemed patronage of Professor Dr. Essam El-Din Sadek Farhat, the University President, and Professor Dr. Ayman Mohamed Hassanein, the University's Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, alongside Professor Dr. Hossam El-Din Shouky, the Faculty Dean, and Professor Dr. Ashraf Osman, the Faculty's Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The meticulous coordination was overseen by Dr. Mohamed Ebrahim, the Director of the Occupational Safety and Health Department at the Faculty.

Distinguished guests including Dr. Hendawy Najaty, Director of the University's Occupational Safety and Health Department, Dr. Walid Hamdy, Deputy Director of the University's General Administration for Safety and Health, and Mr. Abd El Rasoul Abd El Moneim, the University's Safety and Health Officer, graced the seminar with their presence.

Participants were enlightened on the essence of occupational safety and health—a comprehensive framework of measures aimed at ensuring a secure work environment free from threats and hazards to employees. Emphasizing the paramount importance of safeguarding human capital and material resources, the seminar provided insights into crafting systematic evacuation plans for disaster scenarios, with a special focus on fire emergencies, complemented by a practical demonstration on fire extinguisher operation.

The event received extensive media coverage from the adept team at the Communications and Conferences Department, amplifying its reach and impact.
