Dr. Hagar Adel Zaky, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Minia University, successfully defended her doctoral dissertation today, Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
The dissertation is titled "Impact of Self-esteem, Body Appreciation and Social Media on Acceptance of Cosmetic Procedures among Minia Secondary School Students." The research investigates the psychological and social factors influencing adolescents' attitudes towards cosmetic interventions.

The defense took place in the presence of faculty members, colleagues, and postgraduate students. Following the presentation and discussion, the committee unanimously approved the dissertation, awarding Dr. Zaky the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree.
